HOW TO IDENTIFY AND ELIMINATE BAD HABITS

Gandhi once said, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

I’m sure when hearing this we all think big, I want to be the first doctor to do this, I want to be an entrepreneur, start a non-governmental organization or be the first to accomplish this. I wouldn’t lie those things are amazing but before we jump off to be all that let’s take a step and think of our we can be the change in the world by focusing on our little bad habits.

Let’s look at how we can change our little bad habits into good ones. Let’s be the change by actually changing the little things first.

I remember something I once heard “If you think it’s only the government in Nigeria that is corrupt then you are wrong, we the citizens are also corrupt.”

After hearing that statement, I went into deep thoughts and honestly it was true, I even found out I was among those corrupt people through my little bad habits.

Crazy enough I love this country, people will ask me why and I see all sorts of faces but I truly believe in a change for this country and I believe that change will be through our youths, through our habits, through the way we live.

In my view, I will replace the word “corrupt” with “bad habits”

I will give a few examples:

1. CONNECTIONS: The first thing is the famous word “CONNECTION,” connection isn’t a bad thing but when used for the wrong reasons then it’s wrong. We all have a friend that knows someone or meets someone that knows maybe someone important and that is fine. Making connections will help a lot in life but if your only intention for connections is to cut corners then you have a bad habit.

2. SELFISHNESS: A selfish act is one that arises from a concern for one’s own welfare or advantage at the expense of others. It starts with the government because if a person on sit or in power only cares for his well-being then he or she is selfish, they need a heart for their citizens this is why some countries are not growing because many have a one’s own advantage heart.

Even as citizens we are to look out for each other, care for and help one another. For the county to grow we need to each grow which can not be done when you only look out for your own interest.

3. BRIBERY: It refers to the offering, donating, requesting, or receiving of any item of value in order to sway the behaviour of someone with a public or legal responsibility.

Charity!!! Put your money to good you for goodness sake, and do some good for the society or the people around you. Do not make money a shortcut for everything because you have it.

4. NEPOTISM: In other words, this is called favouritism. This is favouring family or friends, especially by providing them jobs, is a common behaviour among those with authority or influence.

According to a 2019 survey, almost half of those who were hired in the Nigerian public sector did so through nepotism, bribery, or both. Twenty percent of male respondents and twenty-four percent of female respondents admitted to paying a bribe in exchange for a public-sector job. Furthermore, roughly 16 percent of both male and female respondents got their position as public officials with the help of friends or relatives, respectively (Statista, 2022).

5. ABSTENTION: We all want a better country but fail to choose the right government. Abstention is the absence of a vote for or against someone or something. Without voting

I call all these little bad habits, sometimes we are not aware that we have them but when viewed and thought about closely we will see if we could just stop them then we can be the change we want to see in our world.

So dear viewers,

Shall we take on our lens and discuss our little bad habits, those things we do but don’t seem like a big issue but when changed can make a huge difference.

WHAT ARE HABITS?

Like every teacher will start by first defining the term habits?

Habits are the little things we do frequently that become a part of our daily. It is a pattern of behaviour that is done on a regular basis and usually happens unconsciously.

According to the American Journal of Psychology, habit can be defined as a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience.”

Your change doesn’t have to be huge; the little habits make a big difference in this case a big change

So what are those little habits that you could change start with the little habits and correct the bad ones as well?

Here are some familiar little bad habits (LBH)

  1. CUTTING QUEUES: This habit is one that irritates me, instead of standing like everyone else just because you have connections or because you are a big person in society doesn’t give you the right to cut the queue. No one is above the law or norms of the society and orderliness is not a crime or a big deal.

Countries grow and walk-in orderliness, why should ours be different. Have you seen the difference between an international airport when you arrive and Nigeria’s airport when you arrive because the difference is so clear and it is what I call “orderliness”?

So when next you see a queue, stay behind the last person you see, this little habit can create a better tomorrow.

  1. NOSE PICKING: NEVER SHOULD YOU EVER, PLEASE! This habit is both irritable to see but also indecent as an individual. I understand the nose itches a lot but doesn’t call for such behaviour. You can excuse yourself to the restroom or carry a handkerchief along with you to cover yourself or use instead of your hands.
  1. NAIL-BITING: DROP YOUR HANDS! Stop chewing your hands because that is what it looks like, I know it is not easy to stop something when it is already a habit but that doesn’t mean it is impossible. You don’t need to keep your nails, you can carry a mini manicure set to help you with your nails instead of using your teeth.
  1. SMOKING: SMOKERS ARE LIABLE TO DIE YOUNG! Even the ads you see mention it, so why do it, why reduce your length of life you ain’t no cat, you do not have nine lives.
  1. EXCESSIVE DRINKING: SOMEONE ONCE SAID, “DRINKING ISN’T THE PROBLEM, EXCESSIVENESS IS!” Being modest when drinking is good for both your health and well-being, do not allow yourself to drink pass your limit.
  1. OVERTHINKING: AS MUCH AS THINKING IS GOOD, OVERTHINKING ISN’T! Thinking is required of every human being but the moment you start to worry and stress yourself about things you can not control then it is bad. Do not over analyse everything.
  1. FARTING: PLEASE STOP, LET’S BREATHE IN AND OUT GOOD AIR! I have nothing much to say here because we just shouldn’t be doing this publicly. Excuse yourself and go to the restroom.

I could list a ton of little bad habits but that isn’t the purpose of my writing, I want us to reflect and think of what are those things we do

STEPS TO TAKE TO STOP THOSE HABITS

  1. HAVE AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER: An accountability partner is someone who checks on some areas of your life that needs control or help. It is good to have someone to monitor and maintain your habits by allowing them know your bad habits and the good habits you want to replace them with.

Your accountability partner will help you discipline yourself and build better behaviour. For example, if you have a shopping habit (shopaholic) and need help to control the way you spend your accountability partner will be in charge of tracking your expense, or checking if the things you bought are needed and if not return them.

Everyone needs an accountability partner but no matter what make sure your partner is someone you trust or close to which will be better to share personal matters or habits. Do not give this responsibility that will use this bad habit against your or will tell someone about your issue or make your situation worst, take your time to find the right person for the job.

5 BLOGGING TIPS NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT | BLOG INTRO

Dear viewers,

It is of great delight to introduce you to my rebranded blog. It has been two weeks of work and I will be honest with you that redesigning a website is not easy. I had constant struggles and at one point I was stuck on something that didn’t let me move forward and it hit me, “why stay stuck in one position instead of moving forward.”

Through the lens is a world-changing and lifestyle blog that focuses on our personal envisioned goal called “Towards a better mindset” (mindset growth).

It was started to build and change the perspective and mindset, allowing people to see a clear vision and also beyond their vision for a change of thinking to create a better tomorrow.

In making the world a better place, we believe the mind is our first target and our blog focus on changing one’s perspective in order to grow the mind.

The mind is called the greatest asset of an individual and once the mindset is changed or improved, new habits and a change of living begins.


During this week I learned a lot of lessons:

These are blogging tips that will help you overcome your fear and begin your journey as the successful blogger and amazing content creator that you are.

  1. JUST START

I always thought there will be a perfect time, maybe I should keep brushing my skills or wait till I am done with school maybe by that time everything will be perfect. Honestly, it’s not true those are voices trying to stop you from doing something amazing. You will grow in the process so don’t worry about if you are good enough or not. START NOW!!! Do something about the skills and talents given to you, don’t be like the third servant who tug up his talent waiting for his master and didn’t gain anything like the rest.

Like Nike will say “JUST DO IT.” That’s why I am so in love with Nike’s campaign and advertisement because it pushes you.

Starting is scary and one can count more reasons not to start than to start but let me tell you something, once you do start, you will be proud of yourself, and you will grow.

2. MONEY SHOULDN’T STOP YOU

Someone will say “I need a lot of money to start,” I thought like that too I had to pay for my blog and it will be much better and honestly didn’t have the funds, so I will have to wait to save and let me tell you, it would have taken months. If you have the funds and that is amazing you can start but if you’re a student like me or need months to get the pay you deserve to get your blog upgraded or business started then STOP, SIT and THINK of the most creative way you can start what every idea you have in mind.

Money should not stop you from starting. God has given us all creative minds, think of another way around whatever you want to start. Don’t get me wrong I didn’t say you wouldn’t need money, I mean you should start creatively but still be saving for the next step.

3. PEOPLE AROUND YOU MATTER

I have been around different kinds of people, when I first mentioned to some people about starting a blog the replies were beyond discouraging. At one point I wanted to back down because I thought I wasn’t good enough but I had to be my own cheerleader.

We all know the kind of friends we have, some are critics in nature and some are supporters, both categories are good because the critics help crosscheck your work and make you better. However, you will need the supporters in your journey.

Negative energy and people bring down the spirit and whatever motivation you would have given yourself to start. Starting isn’t easy but you can do it.

4. PLANNING SAVE LIVES

Whether you want to start a business, be a content creator, or work in a company planning needs to come into place. The first things you need to plan and write down are your vision, mission, goals, values, strategies, tactics and many others. You need to first plan the foundation of what you want to do in order to know where you’re going.

Get a to-do list note, plan your day ahead, and before you go to sleep write down what you plan to do the next day because I will tell you from experience, that there are distractions everywhere and sometimes you just forget which leads me to my next point.

5. CARRY A NOTE AND PEN EVERYWHERE YOU GO

It might seem so little but I will tell you for a fact your brain can’t keep that information all the time. Every content creator or writer are aware of those moments an idea comes to mind and sometimes if not jotted down you will forget that amazing idea in your head.

So to make it easy buy a little note, you could even use your device to jot down, just don’t let that idea slip away.

Make them your sidekick.

THE UNBELIEVER’S LIVES MATTER

“He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” (John 8:7 NLT)

I remember sitting quietly in church one day, and I saw a lady just like me sitting down, but she wore a short skirt, her top had holes, and she didn’t wear a bra everything revealed.

 As I observed her, I saw a woman approach her and telling her to leave and wear something better that she was in the presence of the Lord.

The woman began to shout, the congregation turned and wondered what was going on. Before I knew it, I heard whispers; I heard things like “why will she come here like that”, “the woman is doing the right thing, look at her” I could go on

I saw the lady leave the church that day and then I began to wonder, what if she was in pain and the only place she thought of going was the church, or what if that day she was ready to give her life to Christ and stop the past, or what if she was in danger and the church was her hiding place.

One thing that came to my mind that day as she walked out of the church was that “a soul was lost.”

I don’t know who need to hear this, but the unsaved live matter

Mattew 7:1 (NLT) “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.”

Don’t judge; instead love. In this case, if the woman walked up to the girl and talked to her like a mother, hugged her, things might be better. The woman could have checked on her daily and you never know God can turn her heart around and she will change.

“SHOW LOVE!” Do not lose a soul, don’t think you are too righteous then act irritated by those that don’t have knowledge on the word of God’

Don’t keep only godly people and care only for those that believe in Christ. If you see someone that doesn’t know Christ, don’t go and quote scriptures and tell them they will go to hell, stop it and start with love. Christ started with that, and He loved us (John3:16)

I know they said the people you have around you affect or influence you, but that doesn’t mean you will not keep those unsaved close. So don’t let them change you; influence them with the way you live and you can still have those good friends around to affect you and keep you in check.

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS (Mattew 25:35-40 NLT)

35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

That girl was a stranger, but the woman didn’t invite her home (the church)

Remember the lost sheep out there, some may not know much, some are looking for someone to show them the way. That’s one of your duties as Christians to bring them to Christ, show them the same love Christ showed us when He died for us.

Read this story and remember this statement “WHAT WILL JESUS DO?”

BEAUTY IS PAIN

These three words always get me upset, but to an extent it is true, so I can’t complain.

My mother always told me the exact words every time I am making my hair and complaining that it hurt; she would “Beauty is pain”, but then who beauty help. So no matter the tears, I was never allowed to cut my hair.

But what if I don’t want to be beautiful? What is so wrong with looking ugly. My skull hurts from this hair, but I look so pretty every time I check the mirror, so I always tell myself, “three more days and the pain will be all over”.

The crazy thing it always did, but recently I am tired, not only of the pain but just the thoughts of making it. All I need is ten wigs, different colours and styles and I’ll cut my hair.

When I was little, my mother always said cutting my hair as a girl wasn’t good; she would tell some stories and say a few things and boom, I wouldn’t want to cut my hair again, mothers jazz.

Funny thing, now I’m older, once I complained about my hair she would be willing even to help me cut it, the irony right.

Don’t look at me like something is wrong with me. I have a tender scalp, only those that have the same scalp as me will understand. When I am relaxing my hair, I can’t stay up to 5minutes (please tell me I am not the only one). I hardly change the person making my hair because of the pain and they are used to me, once the making process begins, I can cry. Yeah, it’s that bad.

Now you may wonder why I can’t barb my hair and relieve myself from this stress once and for all, well so many reasons are holding me down;

1. Nigeria’s heat (if you live in this country, you can relate)

I doubt I’ll carry my cut hair out due to some personal reasons, so I’ll have to wear a wig and trust me when I say this country sun isn’t playing.

2. Lol, I don’t even have the wigs.

Currently, I have one, but I don’t want to wear one throughout my life until my wardrobe is blessed with two or more wigs.

3.  Lowkey, I love braids.

Yes, I love the fact you can do any style when it comes to braids and their low budget.

4. This will sound silly, but I might look ugly.

Yes, I am human and have some insecurities that I am still dealing with, so yes, I don’t want to.

I tried going natural though, and well, let’s say it didn’t work out for me. Lol.

So if I ever cut my hair in the future, don’t worry honeybuns, I will surely gist you about it.

EVERY LADY SURVIVAL KIT

Hey beautiful ladies, I am here to talk about our survival kit,

What is a lady survival kit? There are essential equipment that a lady needs in their purse to survive in an emergency.

There are lifesavers and we often tend not to have them in our purse which I suggest a change from now on. So this are the first five kit:

1. PAD

The first necessity. Even though you know when your period might start next, you always need to prepare and put two pairs in your purse. I use the “FLO” app and it’s a period tracker, ovulation calendar and pregnancy app and it helps a lot, but even with the app I carry the pairs in my purse.

Now you wonder why two, why not one? Well, you got to be there for your fellow ladies in times of needs.

So, after you use the restroom or go from one place to another or you were rushing somewhere and forgot to spray at home, you apply it on your body. Trust me; it turns head.

2. PERFUME

So, I am a total perfume lover and I can’t do without. Every lady needs to add this up, and now I don’t mean a huge bottle, you can get those little oil perfume, there are portable and last long.

3. LIPGLOSS/BALM

A friend once told me I don’t apply enough lip gloss, that if I use it well, I’ll get men to stare at my lips making them want it. Lol, she reads a lot of novels, but I tested the theory and she was right.

Now that being aside, every lady needs to revamp and hydrate their lips. Licking your lips isn’t feminine nor the right thing to do. Keep your lips hydrated.

4. MINT GUM

Do you know if you stay hours without talking and open your mouth, it stinks a little? Yh, the mint gum totally helps in that case or after a long day at the desk and you about to have a meeting, the mint got you covered. Another amazing silly scenario is when you want to talk to your crush, boyfriend/girlfriend, or whoever, you have to make every breath count when you’re with them literally.

5. SAFETY PIN

Yes, ladies in one stage or another we needed this to save us from either a loose button or a small rip in the dress whatever. Having a safety pin has been a huge lifesaver and I will advise we have two or three in our purse/bag.

THE UNTOLD STORY OF VALENTINE

I want to tell you the tale of what happened to my Valentine, his bravery has to be told, and the Emperor’s wickedness needs to be known, but I think he is doing a good job showing it already.

Before I speak of my husband’s death, I would want to share with you our letters we write to each other everyday. He was no monster; his only fault was loving me.

Now this was among the first letters of our trouble days when we learnt of the rule of Emperor Claudia


My dear Emily, Emperor Claudia has enforced a law that restricts me from being with you, he claims we young men need no woman and has banned marriage. He thinks a wife would distract us during our service but my love he doesn’t know my strength is from the thought of you everyday. I now have to serve as a soldier, but before I leave, I know a man who performs secret ceremonies and I want to know you are mine forever.

FROM YOUR VALENTINE


My love valentine, I don’t think it’s safe we go on seeing each other. I can’t risk the fact of losing you, Emperor Claudius is a wicked man, and he will have no mercy on you if you get caught for disobeying him. I am not worth this; I can’t watch you die.

FROM YOUR FORBIDDEN LOVE


Your heart is so kind-hearted and sweet, that is why I love you more each passing day. You don’t need to worry about my death because it wouldn’t happen, I’ll be by your side till we get old. Days passed and it was a day before the ceremony, just like always my Valentine would have written me a letter by now and left it under a plank in a location I best keep a secret, but I haven’t heard from him.

Was he too scared to marry me, maybe he was caught on the way, the thoughts killed me.

I went back to the location to check again, on my way I was dragged by a hand to a dark corner and I saw him, my Valentine. He told me he had to see me before the ceremony. He took the risk to see me during the day just to encourage me everything would be fine.

As long as I was concerned, no man was as brave as my Valentine. We didn’t meet till the day of the ceremony, but we never forgot to send letters. Later at night, we did our usual ritual.


My dear Emily, tomorrow you will finally be mine forever and I will be the luckiest man in the town. If not for the rules I would have shouted your name out loud and made it known to everyone in town that you are mine. Oh, how I can’t wait to call you my wife. I know how much you wanted the ceremony in the church, so I found a way to make it possible. At 11 pm, meet me at the St. Michael catholic church in the basement, the priest will be there.

FROM YOUR VALENTINE


Oh, my courageous love, I can’t wait to call you mine too. I will wear a simple white dress, it is still sad I can’t wear a wedding dress, but it doesn’t matter when the man I am getting married to is you.

FROM YOU FORBIDDEN LOVE


At 11 pm I got dressed and wore a coat to cover my dress and avoid suspicion. I went down the basement of the chapel and saw my Valentine, as dashing as ever. The priest was also there, so we had no time to waste and hurried to finish the ceremony to have time to ourselves before the sunrises.

I will cut the story short because it’s a brief tale. We planned to leave that forsaken town a week after if only we knew what will happen next we would have gone immediately we said: “I do”.

Five days after the ceremony, my husband was arrested, how I found out wasn’t pleasing. I went in search of food and saw people gathered around, I asked what was happening, and a man told me “the priest that marries lovers secretly has been caught”.

I was sad because he married my Valentine and me. I went forward to say my last thank you, only to see my Valentine on the stocks awaiting his execution.

I began to cry and knelt before him and asked what happened, he told me that the priest that wedded us is also named “Valentine“. I wasn’t shocked because Valentine was a common name around here that’s why I always say “my valentine” but even at that what happened, why the mix-up.

He told me someone saw him go into chapel one night, which I knew was the day we wedded and later reported to the Emperor. I was angry, and the tear kept flowing then I asked him “Why would some do this, why didn’t he say he wasn’t the one,” my thoughts kept racing.

You wouldn’t believe what my husband told me. He said he was protecting the priest and also me.

If he said he wasn’t the Valentine, they would still be in search of the priest and lovers wouldn’t marry like we did and he also has to say why he was there at night and knowing my Valentine he wouldn’t lie because he was a man of principle and if he can’t lie that means death for both him and me.

How can a man be so loving even to death?

He begged me to leave before the Emperor sees me with him, but I refused to go, I wanted to die with him. Then he started crying, and that’s when I broke, my Valentine was crying, he said the only reason he can face this is knowing I’m still alive that I should please go and I promised to do so.

I didn’t know what to say, I couldn’t even kiss him goodbye because that can cause my death. So all I said was “goodbye my valentine, I will love you forever,” then I wailed my way back home.


My Valentine was executed that day, and I was beyond broken because I lost my love.

Do you want to know what hurt me the most? It’s that the priest was later caught some months later because of some people. Why do they detest love?

When I heard the news, it felt like my husband’s death was for nothing, I cried the more because my Valentine was the real hero to the story, he died for the priest, the soon to be wedded couple, and especially me but no one knew his story, but I’m glad you do now.

Do me a favour, promise me you will tell my husband’s story to others, don’t let his death be a waste because he was the real hero.

IF NOT FEBRUARY 14TH

February 14th, valentine day, a day full of love, giggles and loads of gift. I’m sure you are prepared for the day already, I’m talking to both the couples and the singles, yes single I’m sure you have planned how to enjoy your day already.

But I’m not here to discuss the lovey-dovey day; I’m here to talk about the remaining 364 days of the year when it isn’t valentine.

It’s a usual tradition on that day to take your partner out, or give a gift, or show any form of love, but my question if not February 14th do you still show this love. Do you say I love you, do you get a surprise or take them out.

If you’re a YES well I’m so proud of you guys and hope it isn’t one-sided, but if your case is a NO and the only day you remember to show love is on special days, then we need to talk.


THE TALK

Okay so I’m not going to condemn you just because you didn’t do those things, but I want to say it is important, not only is it a beautiful thing it also helps the relationship grow.

It doesn’t always have to be a gift don’t kill yourself, you could write an epistle, make dinner, do something sweet once in a while, don’t let it only be valentine or birthdays or anniversaries.

Do you want to know a fantastic thing, because of the small gestures once in a while during those valentines you don’t have to throw something massive all the time because it is a normal thing in the relationship, you can decide to stay home and relax together.

This isn’t going to be a long talk, I’m not going to tell you how to express love, but I hope you put this in thoughts.

I woke up as early as 5am ready to burn some calories, I put on my best canvas and my black sportswear, getting ready to jog through the day, nothing can stop me, so I thought as I looked at the empty street. I packed my hair in a ponytail to avoid any disturbance, then again I looked at the road, and it was looking longer than ever, “when did it get far, can I do this, maybe just two rounds back and forth, or maybe I should start exercising tomorrow” several thoughts of doubt kept running through my head but all of a sudden I remembered the remedy.

I took out my phone from my armband. I searched for an article I bookmarked to read whenever I feel like giving up when exercising, and I read through the quotes. Suddenly I felt like exercising, all the reasons I wanted to do it kept coming, and I was determined.

“Oh I forgot one last thing,” as I thought to myself, I went to the playlist titled “workout” and played it, and I smiled because I was ready to take on anything.


Doubt is a normal thing that comes when you want to work out, you will feel like quitting either at the beginning or during the workout. But no matter what don’t, here are some workout motivation to help you out but first I’ll start with tips

HOW TO START LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

There was a time that I once thought living healthy was a scam, the whole eating vegetable, fruits and eating less, what could I gain from that I thought. Until all of a sudden, I found myself obese at the age of 18, even then I still didn’t care “bring on the food it can’t stop me from eating my pizza and ice cream everyday.”

My mum tried talking to me about it, but I always find a way, but then the day came I couldn’t breathe I couldn’t find my breathe I didn’t know was happening then I had to be rush to the hospital.

A few hours later, I was treated, but the doctor told me it could happen again if I don’t take care of my health. “I was annoyed, but at the same time I knew what I had to do.”

I finally agreed to my mum’s instruction and I started a healthy lifestyle, and guess what after a year I was no longer obese, I wanted to get back to my eating junks so bad, but I was warned to continue this lifestyle if I want to live long. I almost felt death, so I listened to the advice and had no issues until then.


We need to start living right, live a life we will be proud. Watch what you eat and take care of the body. Living a healthy life is an essential thing that needs to be said to everyone, it might be hard at first because we are used to ordering pizza always, having a plate heaped with food, sitting down all day, etc.

Have heard that phrase “I want to go on a diet”, yes, it is a good thing, but sometimes we forget that going on a diet should be normal. When we eat little, take fruit, work out, etc, that should be the life we should live.


Assumptions and truth about healthy living:

1. Once you start, you will get used to it. Yes, but not immediately. Know you are throwing away a lifestyle you once had for years, so there are times you want to sneak and eat or give up. Don’t! Train your body and mind then you will get used to it.,

2. Living healthy is not a punishment. I have heard some statement like “how can I eat grass like an animal”, firstly you wouldn’t be only eating vegetable there are different diet plans to stick to, and you are helping your body. You’re not suffering at all; you are living a longer and better life

3. Living healthy is not only for fat people. “I’m not fat; I am already slim you want to kill me, and so much more statement like this. You might not have the body that gets fat, but what you put inside your body matters, there is diabetes, high blood pressure, etc and it happens to both slim and fat, so start taking care of your body no matter the size

4. You don’t quit living healthy once you’ve gotten your goal. Imagine you were like 100kg and you started living healthy and dropped to your goal like 80kg. You don’t stop eating well or stop exercising because of it, continue that healthy habit.

5. You don’t stop taking snacks forever. This scare people, the fact they think their favourite snack is eradicated from their lives. It is not just taken everyday like you use to, it will be once in a blue moon maybe once a week or two weeks.


Tips to start a healthy lifestyle


1. Drink lots of water. 5 to 8 glasses a day will do

2. Reduce the quantity of food you take, that means no more heaping of your plates

3. Avoid junks such as pizza, hamburgers, etc

4. Don’t take carbonated drinks and sugar

5. Take fruits and detox water helps the system.

6. Exercise at least 3-5 times a week

7. Don’t eat late and avoid snacks at night

4. Running

5. Cycling

7 MORNING HABITS TO START YOUR DAY RIGHT

Starting your day right is an important thing to do. How you start your mornings will show how your day will go, so I’ll share with you seven habits to cultivate to have a fantastic day.

1. Wake up early

I know this isn’t always easy, especially when you’re tired, and you don’t feel like standing up. Well I believe we all need the habit of waking up early, it allows you to have a lot of time to do all your duties in a day, and it just keeps you on track.

 To do this keep your alarm far from you maybe on your table so you wouldn’t be able to snooze it, in that way you can walk there to off it and you will be fully awake by then. S

2. Start with a positive vibe

Pray, read your bible, listen to a podcast or something motivational, or even listen to a song, it helps kick start your day. After doing something positive or even just reading a quote, it gives that energy that the day will be so good.

3. Drink water

As simple as that might sound, it is also vital we do it. Keep your body hydrated.

4. Make your bed

Yes, do it. When you make your bed, you wouldn’t want to get back on it because of how much effort you use to make it right.

5. Exercise

I know you never feel like it but exercising in the morning helps a lot. Your physical health matter, stay in shape.

6. Total body care

I would have said skincare, but I realised it is not only your skin you need to take care of. You need to take care of everything, from your hair, teeth, skin, feet, etc. Just make sure you’re clean and healthy and that you look good for you.

7. Make your to-do list

Plan your day out, write it down and follow the schedule, you will find out that when you have a to-do list, you will finish up all your duties or plans you have.
